I just finished packaging up the manuscript for the Boyd family letters from the War for Southern Independence. In the morning it is off to McFarland Publishers where the editing process will soon commence. This book encompasses the movements and actions of the Seventh South Carolina, Nineteenth South Carolina, First South Carolina Rifles and the Sixth South Carolina Infantry as told through the 86 letters the five Boyd brothers and their brother-in-law, Fenton Hall left behind. These men saw action in the Army of Northern Virginia, the Army of Tennessee and the Charleston coastal defense. Now back to focusing on the release of In Due Time.
